Hello, I'm Alexa
No, not your amazon echo
Photography initially started as a creative outlet in my spare time, and quickly became something I am passionate about. I’m drawn to genuine connection, natural light, and the little in-between moments that tell the real story — the giggles, the quiet hugs, and the unplanned magic.
Whether I’m photographing families, mamas, or milestones, my goal is always the same: to create images that feel warm, honest, and timeless, all while making you feel beautiful and comfortable.
A little bit about me
My love for photography began with photo editing (not photo taking!). In college, I became the go-to person in my friend group for enhancing photos — from simple touch-ups to refining the little details — and that early passion naturally grew into a deeper appreciation for the art of photography.
With four kids of my own (yes, four!) and a career in pediatrics, I’ve spent most of my life surrounded by children — and I wouldn’t have it any other way. During the week, I work as a nurse practitioner in child neurology. Photography is where I get to be creative, slow down, and refill my cup in a whole different way.
My Assistant
Violet Beversdorf (age 7)
You will almost always see my oldest child, Violet, join me during a session. She is an enthusiastic helper and always brings the smiles. She reminds me to bring extra batteries. She holds props (and babies) like a pro. She helps find the best light and the best poses.
Her biggest job is encouraging your kids to be silly. She makes kids laugh. She helps them feel brave and happy in front of the camera.
Tiny assistant. Huge heart. Endless smiles.
Violet, behind the scenes. Helping with lighting.
